The FSAI Pune Chapter successfully inaugurated the FSAI Student Chapter at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Nigdi, Pune on 24 July 2026..
The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the collaboration between academia and the fire and life safety industry. A total of 33 students enrolled as founding members of the Student Chapter, while PCCOE also became an Institutional Member of FSAI, reaffirming its commitment to promoting fire, life safety, and security awareness among future engineers.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ms. Sujal Shah, President, FSAI Pune Chapter; Ms. Simple Jain, President-Elect; Mr. Ruturaj Kulkarni, Student Chapter Chair; Mr. Sagar Kulkarni, Industry Chair; Mr. Vinayak Joglekar, Advocacy Chair; Mr. Sujit Mishra and Mrs. Joglekar, who joined the occasion on behalf of FSAI.
The Student Chapter has been established with the objective of creating a strong industry–academia connect by exposing students to the latest developments in fire protection, life safety, and security. FSAI Pune Chapter has planned a series of initiatives for the student members, including expert lectures, industrial visits, and interactions with industry leaders. These activities will equip students with practical insights, enhance their technical competencies, and prepare them for successful careers in the fire and life safety profession.
